Welcome to GRANDTRAVEL’S Founder’s Blog!
This is the first of what I hope will be many messages about the pleasure of traveling exclusively with grandchildren (without parents). By way of introduction may I tell you that just like you, I am a Grandparent and I certainly am enjoying being one. I have also had the pleasure of traveling exclusively with my grandchildren. My “grands”, and now there are ten, span the ages from 3 to 22! It’s the 22 year old that inspired me to found GRANDTRAVEL. I believed then as I do now that grandparents and grandchildren make wonderful travel companions, and on their trips together have the rare opportunity to learn about each other’s lives while having stimulating and challenging vacation fun together.
Twenty two years of experience has proved to us that these inter generational travels are managed successfully without accompanying parents . I encourage you to take advantage of your time together to devleop a magical relationship with your grandchildren…it happens.
I hope that you will use this blog opportunity to tell me about the travels you have taken with your grandchildren, destinations you especially enjoyed together, and places you would like to go with them. You may be sure it will be my pleasure to “talk” to you.

Dear Mrs. Koenig,
This website is very inspiring and although I do not have any grandchildren of my own, I will recommend your tours to friends who do. Thank you for developing such an interesting concept of Grandparents traveling with their Grandchildren. I have seen you on the today show and in many magazine articles.
Keep up the good work!!

Although I am a relative, Helena, I still enjoyed reading this blog. I have no grandchildren, but the organization of your trips(I just viewed the summary of the Italy trip) is just spectacular!! This is a great opportunity for people to respond with tales of their experiences and I hope people take advantage of it! Much success!!
